Good Friday March of Meditation and Witness at Hillside Churches
Hillside Methodist Church joined our friends from Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and Anglican Church of the Ascension for short services at each others’ places of worship and marching through the streets, singing and carrying crosses and a banner. Our Bible readings brought us the Words of Jesus on the Cross: “Father, forgive these people! They don’t know what they’re doing.” “I promise that today you will be with me in paradise.” “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why have you deserted me?” “Father, I put myself in your hands!” “I am thirsty!” “Everything is done!”
