Christmas gifts
When you give to the poor, don’t let anyone know about it. Then your gift will be given in secret. Your Father knows what is done in secret, and he will reward you. Matthew 6 v3-4
The king will answer, “Whenever you did it for any of my people, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you did it for me.” Matthew 25 v40
Thank God for his gift that is too wonderful for words! 2 Corinthians 9 v15

Daily Prayer: Lord God our Father, we give thanks for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ, born for us at Christmas. We thank you that you have called us all to share in the divine task of giving, especially giving to those who cannot or will not give anything in return, to those who haven’t earned or deserved anything from us. Let us have that blessing of having made a genuine gift as you have done for us.

Daily Bible reading: Luke 14 v12-14
12 Then Jesus said to the man who had invited him:
When you give a dinner or a banquet, don’t invite your friends and family and relatives and rich neighbours. If you do, they will invite you in return, and you will be paid back. 13 When you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. 14 They cannot pay you back. But God will bless you and reward you when his people rise from death.
All-Age Activity: Jumbled letters.
Here is a list of words taken from the Bible reading, but the letters have been put in the wrong order. See if you can unjumble them.
