OBITUARY OF THE LATE REVD STUART CHIBUDA
Born on the 12th of May 1967, Revd Stuart Chibuda was the last born in a family of six, his parents were Michael and Lisa Chibuda of Chivhu. Revd S. Chibuda attended Zinatsa Primary and Chideme Secondary Schools both in Chivhu after which he proceeded to Harare Polytechnic where he studied Administration.
He married Veronica Patsanza in 1989 and the two were blessed with three children, Tapiwa, Tilda and Isheanesu/ Nathanel .
As a member of the Methodist Church, he once worked as the Circuit Steward of Greater Wedza Circuit which is now Wedza, Gumbonzvanda and Zviyambe Circuits. From 1987– 1991, he became a temporary teacher at Warikandwa School. In 1995, he joined the Ministry of Health and Child Care in the Administration Department. From 1998-2006, he worked as Hospital Administrator at Wedza District Hospital whereupon he resigned and responded to God’s calling to work for the Lord in the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe.
He was first stationed as an itinerant minister in Banket Circuit under Chinhoyi District, (now greater Kadoma District) in December 2006 –2009. He was transferred to Matjinge Circuit where he worked from December 2009 –December 2012. From Matjinge, Revd Chibuda was stationed at Thekwane Schools as Principal under Bulawayo District up to December 2015. From Thekwane Institute, he was transferred to Shamba Circuit where he worked from December 2016– December 2018. In 2019, Revd Chibuda was appointed Principal of Pakame Institute under Gweru District where he was currently stationed till the time of his death.
Revd S. Chibuda held a number of positions in the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe, he had great passion in the work of Men’s Christian Union (M.C.U), he was once Gweru District MCU Chairman before he was elected to be the National M.C.U Chairman, a position that he held at the time of his death. In Revd Chibuda, the Methodist Church has lost a humble , hard-working and a cheerful minister.

Revd Stuart Chibuda is survived by three children and two grandchildren.
