Psalm 17
1 I am innocent, LORD!
Won’t you listen as I pray and beg for help?
I am honest! Please hear my prayer.
2 Only you can say that I am innocent,
because only your eyes can see the truth.
3 You know my heart,
and even during the night you have tested me
and found me innocent.
I have made up my mind never to tell a lie.
4 I don’t do like others.
I obey your teachings and am not cruel.
5 I have followed you, without ever stumbling.
6 I pray to you, God, because you will help me.
Listen and answer my prayer!
7 Show your wonderful love.
Your mighty arm protects those who run to you
for safety from their enemies.
8 Protect me as you would your very own eyes;
hide me in the shadow of your wings.
9 Don’t let my brutal enemies
attack from all sides and kill me.

14 Everyone in Jerusalem and Judah,
celebrate and shout with all your heart!

you don’t have to worry about any more troubles.
16 Jerusalem, the time is coming,
when it will be said to you:
“Don’t be discouraged or grow weak from fear!

Philippians 4
4 Always be glad because of the Lord! I will say it again: Be glad. 5 Always be gentle with others. The Lord will soon be here. 6 Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God. 7 Then, because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel.
Luke 3
7 Crowds of people came out to be baptized, but John said to them, “You bunch of snakes! Who warned you to run from the coming judgment? 8 Do something to show that you really have given up your sins. Don’t start saying that you belong to Abraham’s family. God can turn these stones into children for Abraham. 9 An axe is ready to cut the trees down at their roots. Any tree that doesn’t produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into a fire.”
10 The crowds asked John, “What should we do?”
11 John told them, “If you have two coats, give one to someone who doesn’t have any. If you have food, share it with someone else.”
12 When tax collectors came to be baptized, they asked John, “Teacher, what should we do?”
13 John told them, “Don’t make people pay more than they owe.”
14 Some soldiers asked him, “And what about us? What do we have to do?”
John told them, “Don’t force people to pay money to make you leave them alone. Be satisfied with your pay.”
15 Everyone became excited and wondered, “Could John be the Messiah?”
16 John said, “I am just baptizing with water. But someone more powerful is going to come, and I am not good enough even to untie his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. 17 His threshing fork is in his hand, and he is ready to separate the wheat from the husks. He will store the wheat in his barn and burn the husks with a fire that never goes out.”
18 In many different ways John preached the good news to the people.

Ngiyalibingelela ngegama leNkosi yethu u Jesu Khristu umfeli lomsizi wethu. Amen.
Namhlanje inkonzo yethu ikhokhelwa ngu Dr. CT Tenga.
Asikhulekeni.
Baba wethu Mdali wezulu lomhlaba siza kuwe ngokuzithoba sibonga isipho sempilo. Sibonga njalo ukusihlanganisa ngelizwi lakho . Ingathi lingasinyikinya sibe lemicabango emitsha esenza sikudinge ngazo zonke izikhathi. Silethe konke esikwenzayo kuwe ngoba thina asilalo ulwazi lamandla.
Sicela njalo ukuthethelelwa izono ezisenza sehlukane lawe Baba. Senze sithande okuthandwa nguwe hatshi okujabulisa inhliziyo zethu. Senze silandele umalusi wethu ongu Jesu Khristu.

Ixuku labantu laselibuthene lizodinga ukubhabhathizwa ngu Johane emfuleni u Jorodani. Phela uJohane waye vele enkangala etshumayela ngokuthi abantu aba bhabhathizwe ukuze izono zithethelelwe zisuswe uNkulunkulu angaphindi azikhumbule njengokulotshwe ku Jer. 31 v 34b.”ngoba ngizabathethelela ububi babo, ngingazikhumbuli futhi izono zabo”. Intshumayelo ka Johane yayi gcwalisa umbalo oku Isaya 40 okhuluma ngokuza kuka Khristu emhlabeni. Ukubhabhathizwa kwakuyindlela yokumlungiselela hatshi ngokwangaphandle kuphela kodwa langakwaphathi kwenhliziyo yomuntu. Umbabhatizo lo wawunxuselwa wonke umuntu. Lalamhlanje lokhu siyanxuswa. Angithi kathesi simelele ukuzalwa kwakhe siyalungisa na indlela yakhe?
Ngesikhathi uJohane etshumayela enxusa abantu, isono sasandile koJuta abantu bengasamazi uNkulunkulu kungasela labaPhrofeti. Sebebuthene abantu wakhuluma ngamazwi athukayo wababiza ngokuthi bayinzalo yezinyoka. Kungani
.wakutsho lokho? Isono salethwa yinyoka eyaqila uEva. Babengaqinisanga ngokutshintsha impilo zabo ngokugcweleyo. Babengamaqili. Wathi njalo uJohane, “ngubani olilimukise ngolaka oluzayo na?
Abantu abazwisisi ngokubhabhathizwa .Abanye uzwe besithi lo ongacwiliswanga emanzini odwetshwe isiphaphambano kabhabhathizwanga. Lokhu ukubhabhathizwa ngamanzi yisibonakaliso kuphela , okuqakathekileyo yinhliziyo yakho lezenzo zakho ngemva kokuba usubhabhathiziwe.
Nanso ke indaba eqondiswa kumtshumayeli. Uyatshumayela iqiniso ulibeke linjalo ukuthi abantu balizwe na? Kumbe uyakhekheleza usesaba ukusolwa na? UJohane walibeka iqiniso abantu ngamunye ngamunye kwamthonisela . Bambuza ukuthi Pho benze njani. Kwakulabathelisi lamasotsha labo abaFarisi. Kwakulithuba elihle kakhulu. Bonke babuza lumbuzo “pho senze njani na?” Mlaleli, lawe zibuze lowo mbuzo ngoba uyadinga ukuqondiswa. Uma wabhabhathizwa kumbe khona uzabhabhathizwa zwana kuhle impendulo ka Johane.
Uthi lomunye lomunye ulomlandu wokunceda omunye , kungaba yikumupha izembatho loba ukudla. Njalo emsebenzini wakho wenze izinto ngobuqotho. Ubuqili lobumenemene udinga ukuhlonitshwa lemali ngokungekho emthethweni(corruption)
akulunganga. Akuqondiswanga emasotsheni labathelisi kuphela kodwa komunye lomunye. Lokufuna okunengi okwedlulisayo , kwenziwa ngumuntu wonke ngendlela ezehlukeneyo, sibi sabancedisi labo bayakwenza. Ungathathwa ludumo uthi nginguMkhristu konke kulungile ngingoka Nkulunkulu kodwa yenza okufaneleyo. UJesu uthi okuncane okwenzayo komunye ukwenzele mina. AbaFarisi babethemba ukuthi bayinzalo kaAbraham besenza okubi , labo batshelwa iqiniso lokuthi kwakungabasizi ndawo lokho babefana nje laye wonke umuntu . Kambe wena uthi kungakusiza ukuthi uza esontweni ubhabhathiziwe ngamanzi kodwa imisebenzi elezithelo kungela? Imisebenzi elezithelo ngenceda omunye umuntu.
Nanso njalo isixhayiso, kuthiwa abangela zithelo kumisebenzi yabo bazaganyulwa batshiswe kuthi abalezithelo bagcinwe kuhle. Uma esesiza okwesibili u Jesu uzangena embusweni wakhe lalabo abalezithelo. Imisebenzi yabo esusa abantu esonweni ngokubatshumayeza iqiniso ngemisebenzi. UDavida laye wakhuluma ngokuthi ababusi ababusa ngendlela eqondileyo bayisibusiso banjengokukhanya nxa ilanga liphuma (2 Sam. 23v 3-4) Imisebenzi yakho ayibe yisibusiso lokukhanya kwabanye abantu. U Israeli wayelindele uMesiya , ngokuzwa intshumayelo ka Johane bahle bacabanga ukuthi nguye uMessiya. Wafunda ingqondo yabo wasesithi yena ubhabhathiza ngamanzi kodwa ozayo uzababhabhathiza ngo Moya langomlilo. Lokhu sikubona kuncwadi yeMisebenzi lapho abafundi bayamukela umoya ongcwele ababewuthenjisiwe ngu Jesu esezasuka emhlabeni.
Lawe uMoya ka Khristu ungawuthola uma umamukela uJesu. Uzelwe phakathi kwethu. Loba sesukile umoya wakhe ukhona emhlabeni. Zwana ilizwi elitshunyayelwa nsuku zonke ulamukele uphenduke phandle laphakathi wenze imisebenzi elezithelo yikho ukuthi uma esesiza akuthole ulungele umbuso wakhe.
Kuncwadi ka Zephania, sitshengiswa intokozo ebakhona nxa umuntu eloNkulunkulu. UNkulunkulu kuphela nguye osusa isono nguye oyehlula izitha zakho. Asingazehlukanisi loNkulunkulu ngokwenza okubi. U Zephania waye khuluma isiphorofithi esasizakwenzakala. UNkulunkulu uzathokoza labantu bakhe ajezise ababahlukuluzayo, asize abagogekileyo alethe bonke abantu bakhe kuye. Lathi asiphileni ekholweni luka Khristu yena osikhokhelayo. Intokozo yethu siyithola ku Jesu nxa silandela imithetho kaNkulunkulu. Lokhu kuyamthokozisa uNkulunkulu. U Jesu ngumthombo wentokozo.
Kuncwadi yabaseFillipi, uMpostoli u Pauli loba wayesentolongweni uyakhuluma laye ngentokozo. Ukhuthaza abase Filiphi ukuthi bathokoze eNkosini babonise ukulunga kubobonke abantu ngoba iNkosi isiseduze. Bangazikhathazi ngezinto ezinenginengi , kodwa bakwazi ukuthi iNkosi izabenzela konke abakucelayo. Kanengi siyazihlupha ngento zomhlaba sikhohlwa ukuthi sileNkosi engasenzela konke esikudingayo. Okwethu yikuthi senze okulungileyo sincedane njengamakholwa. Konke okunye sikutshiye ezandleni zakhe. Ukuzihlukuluza emoyeni akusizi. Ukufuna okunengi lakho akusizi, suthiseka ngalokho olakho. Watsho njalo laye uJohane kulabo ayebatshumayeza ebakhuza. Letha zonke inhlupho zakho ku Khristu ngomthandazo.
Sesiphetha inkonzo yethu, asazini ukuthi isono asilunganga. Asibhabhathizweni ngomoya senze imisebenzi elezithelo ukuze uJesu asamkele embusweni wakhe. UNkulunkulu kuyamjabulisa uma silandela imilayo yakhe. Uyasilwela yena izitha zethu. Asihlaleni sithokoza ngoba siloJesu osipha konke esikudingayo. Singakhathazeki njalo sisuthiseke ngalokho esilakho.
Ingathi iNkosi ingabusisa ilizwi layo. Ameni

Nkosi siyawubonga umusa wakho. Sibonga ilizwi elisikhuthazayo ukuthi sitshiyane lezono size kuwe. Wena uyasithanda uyasivikela. Waletha indodana yakho emhlabeni ngoba usithanda ufuna sisindiswe esonweni. Ingathi uMoya angasikhokhela senze imisebenzi ekujabulisayo elezithelo ukuze singabhujiswa siphile loKhristu ngokunaphakade
