This joyful Eastertide.
Low in the grave he lay.
Come people of the risen King.
See what a morning.
Thine be the Glory.
Because He lives.
Christ the Lord is risen today.
My peace.

Sermon:
[The sermon has not yet been received for this week.]
Bible readings:
Psalm 118
1 Tell the LORD how thankful you are,
because he is kind and always merciful.
2 Let Israel shout, “God is always merciful!”
14 My power and my strength come from the LORD,
and he has saved me.
15 From the tents of God’s people come shouts of victory:
“The LORD is powerful!
16 With his mighty arm the LORD wins victories!
The LORD is powerful!”
17 And so my life is safe,
and I will live to tell what the LORD has done.
18 He punished me terribly,
but he did not let death lay its hands on me.
19 Open the gates of justice!
I will enter and tell the LORD how thankful I am.
20 Here is the gate of the LORD!
Everyone who does right may enter this gate.
21 I praise the LORD
for answering my prayers and saving me.
22 The stone that the builders tossed aside
has now become the most important stone.
23 The LORD has done this, and it is amazing to us.
24 This day belongs to the LORD!
Let’s celebrate and be glad today.

Isaiah 25
6 On this mountain the LORD All-Powerful will prepare
for all nations a feast of the finest foods.
Choice wines and the best meats will be served.
7 Here the LORD will strip away the burial clothes
that cover the nations.
8 The LORD All-Powerful will destroy the power of death
and wipe away all tears.
No longer will his people be insulted everywhere.
The LORD has spoken!
9 At that time, people will say, “The LORD has saved us!
Let’s celebrate. We waited and hoped
now our God is here.”

1 Corinthians 15
1 My friends, I want you to remember the message that I preached and that you believed and trusted. 2 You will be saved by this message, if you hold firmly to it. But if you don’t, your faith was all for nothing.
3 I told you the most important part of the message exactly as it was told to me. That part is:
Christ died for our sins, as the Scriptures say.
4 He was buried, and three days later
he was raised to life, as the Scriptures say.
5 Christ appeared to Peter, then to the twelve.
6 After this, he appeared
to more than five hundred other followers.
Most of them are still alive, but some have died.
7 He also appeared to James,
and then to all of the apostles.
8 Finally, he appeared to me, even though I am like someone who was born at the wrong time.
9 I am the least important of all the apostles. In fact, I caused so much trouble for God’s church that I don’t even deserve to be called an apostle. 10 But God was kind! He made me what I am, and his wonderful kindness wasn’t wasted. I worked much harder than any of the other apostles, although it was really God’s kindness at work and not me. 11 But it doesn’t matter if I preached or if they preached. All of you believed the message just the same.

Mark 16
1 After the Sabbath, Mary Magdalene, Salome, and Mary the mother of James bought some spices to put on Jesus’ body. 2 Very early on Sunday morning, just as the sun was coming up, they went to the tomb. 3 On their way, they were asking one another, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance for us?” 4 But when they looked, they saw that the stone had already been rolled away. And it was a huge stone!
5 The women went into the tomb, and on the right side they saw a young man in a white robe sitting there. They were alarmed.
6 The man said, “Don’t be alarmed! You are looking for Jesus from Nazareth, who was nailed to a cross. God has raised him to life, and he isn’t here. You can see the place where they put his body. 7 Now go and tell his disciples, and especially Peter, that he will go ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you.”
8 When the women ran from the tomb, they were confused and shaking all over. They were too afraid to tell anyone what had happened.
